Platforms

At Integrated Software Solutions we develop software to run on a number of platforms meaning that no matter where or how you work, we can provide the ideal software application for you.

Windows Desktop Applications

The Microsoft Windows operating system is the industry leader in computer platforms and is used in the majority of homes and workplaces. Because of this our primary development platform is the Windows based application.

Our Windows based applications are developed using a Multiple Document Interface (MDI) environment and employ a simple "drop down" menu and toolbar based navigation system such as that used in the Microsoft Windows Explorer and in such commercially available packages as Microsoft Office. The MDI environment allows the user to view multiple pieces of data while keeping all information contained and easily accessible.

From small contact management system to large order processing, manufacture and stock control applications, Integrated Software Solutions can take your requirements and develop a piece of software that is both secure and efficient in the role for which it is required.

Examples of our desktop applications can be found on the products page.

Web Applications

Web based applications are becoming inreasingly popular as businesses wish to provide a standard interface to workers both in and out of the office without the need for setting up virtual networks. While not having the richness provided by the user interface of desktop applications, web based applications are extremely powerfull and are able to deliver data from a central database to users anywhere via the internet.

Modern web based software applications can replicate almost any functionality possible through a desktop application and through the use of secure sockets and encryption can be just as secure running over the internet as an application running over an internal LAN (Local Area Network).

Examples of our existing web based applications can be found on the products page.

PDAs And HandHeld Scanners

In the modern workplace, handheld devices such as PDAs and handheld barcode scaners have become an everday item and in many cases constitute vital pieces of equipment.

Employees who move around a lot or work on the road may utilise a PDA as a temporary storage for required information. Taking the information with them wherever they go and updating it on the PDA before synchronising with a master data store when returning to the office.

Many businesses use handheld barcode scanners to increase the efficiency of stock control procedures. Allowing them to scan a warehouse location and then scan each item in the location either to create or confirm an existing stock record.

Smart Phones And Other Devices

As technology progresses, more and more electronic devices become capable of running software applications. As this happens ISS will strive to be one of the first and the best company able to provide you with software solutions to run on those devices.
